
A breakfast that is both savory and sweet can be a real treat for babies.. The combi-
nation of rice and pears along with the flavor of vanilla really a baby’s taste buds. It
can be a perfect start to their day.
Preparation time: 30 minutes.
Serves: 4.
Ingredients:
•White rice- ½ cup
•Fresh pears-
•Water- 2 cups
•Evaporated milk- 3/4th cup
•Vanilla bean or extract
•Cinnamon- a pinch
Directions:
In a saucepan put 2 cups of water and bring to boil.
When the water is boiled add in the white rice and the vanilla bean. It is better to
use pure vanilla instead of the extract as it gives a much better taste.
Once the rice is cooked and tender, peel and chop the pears and put in the rice.
Once both the rice and pears are properly done add in the evaporated milk and the
cinnamon to taste.
For very small babies who are under 6 months, puree or blend the entire dish and
then serve it to them! They will love it!
