Breakfast is an important meal of the day.. A good breakfast is a sign of a healthy 

diet. For babies, breakfast should be enjoyable giving them a good start to their 


Preparation time: 25 minutes. 

Serves: 5. 


•Buckwheat flour- 1 cup 

•Thick, full fat natural yoghurt- 1 cup 

•Baking soda- 1/3 teaspoon 

•Olive oil or butter for frying 


In a bowl combine the buckwheat flour and the baking soda. Mix in the natural yo- 


Keep stirring until the batter is spoonable. Its consistency should be thicker than 

normal pancakes. 

Add butter in the fry pan and melt it. 

Using a soup ladle, spoon the batter on to the fry pan and fry on each side like pan- 

cakes until they turn golden brown in color. 

You can top the pancakes with chocolate syrup, strawberry jam, or black berry jam.
